Senior BFA Exhibition at Georgia State University
STUDENT INFORMATION
Amanda is a senior BFA Photography major studying at Georgia State University whose work explores the meaning of self and the idea of struggling with what it means to be an individual person.
Eboni is a senior BFA photo major at GSU working on textiles impacted by the environment through fabric materials intertwining with nature, she interns at Fall Line Press and has participated in exhibitions, including the 22nd annual Juried show at GSU.
Jasmine Corbin is a current Senior at Georgia state University, majoring in Art with Photography as a concentration, their photography and video art mainly consists of works about expression, intimacy, and uncertainties about self. They have participated in many exhibitions including the Juried show at GSU.
Kevin is a senior BFA photo major at GSU whose work documents everyday spaces, using light to give scenes an emotional quality, and creating a reflection of the new normal we are all living in. His work has been seen in juried shows, and collaborative panels between GSU and CCA.
Madisyn is a Senior BFA photo major at GSU making cinematic photographs that work to depict the exploration in self-identity through everyday menial tasks and mundane routines. They have participated in a number of exhibitions juried and otherwise. As well as holding the current Vice President position in the Ex Lucis photo club at GSU for the past year.
Markiesha Thornton is a senior BFA photography major at Georgia State University whose work explores the complexities of blackness, sexuality, womanhood, and the politics of intersecting identities; her work has been shown in various exhibition and she was recently chosen as a representative for the Welch School of Art and Design at the 2021 Undergraduate Research Conference.
Nia Hemmitt is a senior BFA major in the photography program where she focuses on bringing visibility to the black and LGBTQ alternative community in Atlanta, she currently interns at Mint Gallery where she will have a solo exhibition in June.
Riley McBride is a photo-based artist from a small, rural town in South Georgia; their work investigates physical and emotional boundaries within the southern landscape.
Toi Ramey (b. 1997 Atlanta, GA) is a BFA photo major at Georgia State University where she is currently working on a body of work that explores her nephew’s individuality through portraits, objects, and familiar spaces.
Tyler Brantley is a senior BFA photography major at GSU exploring the relationship between identity, the body and gender roles through a connection with the natural world.
