Getting Ready to Stay Home

During the beginning of this series I was feeling very guarded and closed off. I felt the strong need to be selfish with my energy and the people I allow into my space. With these limiting feelings though , I was not seeing the bigger picture of my self growth. The series was firstly named isolation, and Is now called Metamorphosis. For this short film I’m diving deeper into my state of mind. The mundane tasks I perform are juxtaposed with a more dreamlike state expressed with dramatic color lighting and “props”. My thoughts are now more focused on how I feel on the inside and expressing that physically through the photo. Everything is no longer about my physical beauty but the inner turmoil I sometimes experience. I show why I represent myself in such a way, myself image vs how I see myself. Im being vulnerable with my viewers as a cathartic experience. Showing the intimate moments learning more about who I am and raw moments showing me go through the many many emotions that I feel throughout just everyday life. I give my viewers a look into my world.
